As President of the Valley Marketing Association, I felt it would be a great idea to organize a year-end holiday party to bring industry professionals together for some camaraderie, celebration and community. What started out as a simple idea to have a party turned into a wonderful opportunity to give back to the local Community during a time of great need, with the creation of the Valley Marketing Association’s “Making a Difference Fund”.

The VMA, with the assistance and support of many local affiliates and Toll Brothers, raised $12,304 to benefit the Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund.

Pleasanton Weekly’s Holiday Fund raises money to be distributed to local non-profit organizations. This year’s funds were distributed to eight organizations: Axis Community Health, Hope Hospice, Open Heart Kitchen, Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE) Foundation, Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley, Tri-Valley Haven, Valley Humane Society, and the Emergency Room expansion program at ValleyCare Medical Center.

Toll Brothers generously agreed to host our party at their beautiful recreation center in SORRENTO at Dublin Ranch. Pulte Home Builders provided air fare for two as part of a grand prize that was given away the night of the event. All proceeds were 100% matched by the Tri-Valley Community Fund. Thanks to the generosity of companies such as Residential Pacific Mortgage, JCP, Chicago Title, Old Republic Title, Diversified Capital, Specialty Termite, Direct Sales, Express Copy, Faz Restaurant, The Hopyard, Keller Williams Realty, McNamara’s Steak House, Movers Pak Man, O’Brien Homes, The Pleasanton Weekly, Pinn Bros. Fine Homes, RS Calibration, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, 1031 Exchange Options, Aloha Staging, and Bank of America, the Valley Marketing Association was able to make a difference in the lives of many community members this holiday season.
